Schedules and coordinates the flow of work within or between departments to expedite production. Along with analyzing and closing completed production tasks by performing the following duties


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Reviews master production schedule and work orders.

  • Establishes priorities for specific customer orders.

  • Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools and human resource requirements.

  • Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.

  • Revises schedule according to work order specifications, establishes priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines and equipment.

  • Reschedules identical processes to eliminate duplicate machine setups.

  • Prepares production reports / generate and issue Job Travelers and/or Work Orders.

  • Compiles reports concerning the progress of work and downtime due to failures of machines and equipment to apprise the Sales team of production delays.

  • Assist purchasing with monitoring the inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production.

  • Review and Monitor Finished Good levels in accordance to current demand.

  • Review, Analyze, and correct discrepancies before closing production jobs.



Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM), Routing, MRP, and vendor certification.  Must have experience with Microsoft applications, not limited to, but emphasis on Excel knowledge.



Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak professionally and effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.  Strong communication skills are a must.



Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.



Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must possess strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills.
